The district implemented a required element to distance learning beginning the week of April 13th. Students receive instruction through the modes of remote learning such as Google Classroom, Zoom, along with various other approved platforms. Parents are able to communicate with their teachers through emails, phone calls, Zoom, Bloomz, Remind, Class Dojo, and various other forms of communication. Our teachers have worked hard to provide distance learning to all of our student's and they have done a great job!

At John Muir we have created a school-wide matrix dedicated to specifically define expected behaviors while at home and distance learning. We look to teach students to be Safe, Organized, Accountable, & Respectful (S.O.A.R.). These four attributes gives students, teachers, administrators, and parents a common language in interacting with one another. As a result, this language helps all the stake holders build a more cohesive, collaborative and caring community. In the end, our hope is that it leads to a meaningful and positive future.
