6th Grade Books
Pennies for Patients
John Muir Student Government is sponsoring a Pennies for Patients campaign to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society starting Monday, April 17th - May 5.
Week 1 Challenge: Monday, April 17-21 Change for change! Donate your Book Fair change to our school campaign! (Parents please let your child know ahead of time if you do not want them to donate) There will be a donation jar in the Book Fair for school-wide donations.
Week 2 Challenge: Monday, April 24th-28th Grade level PENNY WARS! Bring pennies to the cafeteria to add to your grade level jar. The grade with the most pennies will win popsicles! There is one catch...any larger coins (or even bills) will deduct from the penny count! So if a nickel or larger coin is dropped into a jar of another grade level, that coin value will be deducted from that jar's penny count.
All three weeks: Donate online at www.studentseries.org (Click the link and it will take you right there!) Join the John Muir team!
There will be collection boxes in each classroom and in the office, as well.
ALL DONATIONS ARE DUE BY MAY 5TH! THANK YOU FOR BEING AMAZING!!!
